Hi, I’m Mylène — a Toronto-based Senior UX Designer.
For 15+ years, I’ve helped teams transform complex workflows into simple, human-centered digital experiences across web and mobile.
My UX design process
1. Understanding the problem
I begin by clarifying the problem and uncovering real user needs through research and discovery.
• Conduct and review user research.
• Map workflows and identify pain points.
• Analyze data and existing tools.
• Align early with stakeholders and SMEs.
2. Defining key design goals
I translate insights into clear, actionable goals that guide the solution.
• Prioritize user needs and align with business requirements.
• Identify constraints and success criteria.
• Establish the foundation for design direction.
3. Ideation & exploration
I explore multiple ways to solve the problem before committing to a specific solution.
• Sketch early concepts and alternative flows.
• Build low-fidelity designs or wireframes.
• Establish structure, interactions, and hierarchy.
• Collaborate closely with SMES, product and development.
• Test assumptions and compare ideas quickly sometimes involving the users.
4. Iterative design
I refine the experience through continuous iteration and collaboration.
• Create mid and high-fidelity designs & prototypes
• Validate with users, SMEs and internal teams.
• Address edge cases, interactions, and patterns.
5. Final design solution
I deliver a polish user-centered solution and developer ready designs that include:
• Documented interactions and states.
• Accessibility requirements that follow the WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
I then support build and QA to ensure design intent is preserved.
